Profile
Your profile is the personal card CROForge keeps about you. In everyday life a profile is the name, phone number, and preferences on an ID form. In CROForge it is the Settings screen where you update how you appear to teammates, which language and timezone the app uses for you, your password, and two-factor authentication (2FA). Profile belongs to you as a person. It is not the same as workspace settings, which belong to the whole team.

Where to find it
Open Settings → Profile. In the app this is the Profile section of the workspace Settings hub. You are editing the signed-in account, not another teammate’s record. To change someone else’s access, use Settings → Users instead.
What you can manage
Typical profile fields:
- Name, phone, and country — how teammates identify you and how CROForge stores your contact details.
- Department, language, and timezone — your team label and how the product should present text and clocks to you.
- Change password — replace the secret used at login.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) — enable, verify, or disable the second login proof.
Profile is about you. General settings are about the workspace (company name, industry, data region). Do not confuse the two screens.
How to use two-factor authentication
2FA means “two proofs.” The first proof is your password. The second is a code that only your authenticator app (or the token flow CROForge provides) can create. Even if someone learns the password, they still cannot sign in without that code.
- Open Settings → Profile and toggle Enable 2FA.
- Complete setup and verify in the modal. Follow the app or token flow shown there so CROForge and your authenticator agree on the same secret.
- On the next login, enter the 2FA code when the challenge modal appears.
- Disable 2FA only from a trusted session. If you lose the authenticator and cannot sign in, ask an Owner or Admin to help recover the account using your organization’s process.
Tips
- Keep timezone accurate so activity timestamps and reports line up with the hours you actually work.
- Prefer enabling 2FA for Owner and Admin accounts. Those roles can invite users and change workspace settings.
- Update name and department so activity logs are easy to read during a review.
- Change your password if you suspect it was shared or reused elsewhere.
